antichrist

  1. མ་​ཤི་​ཀའི་​བསྟན་​དགྲ།

    [lit. Christ's-teaching-enemy; Gr. antichristos]

    Biblical: the supernatural enemy of Christ: མ་​ཤི་​ཀའི་​བསྟན་​དགྲ་​འོང་​བར་​འགྱུར། the antichrist is coming (1 Jn. 2:18), མ་​ཤི་​ཀའི་​བསྟན་​དགྲའི་​སེམས་​ཉིད་​ཡིན། this is the spirit of the antichrist (1 Jn. 4:3).

    Buddhist: 1) བསྟན་​དགྲ། an enemy of Buddhist teaching: བསྟན་​དགྲ་​བོད་​མིའི་​རིགས་​དང་​མཐུན་​འཐབས་​མེད། there is no way for enemies of the doctrine to be in harmony with the Tibetan people (RRT 232 n. 30); 2) དགྲ་​བཅོམ་​པ། foe destroyer [Skt. arhat] one who has attained enlightenment through the Hinayana path (TRI 50).

    Cognates: དགྲ། an enemy who actively seeks to destroy one's views, plans, etc (AMD).

  2. གོ་​ལོག་​གི་​མ་​ཤི་​ཀ།

    [lit. perverse Christ]

    Biblical: antichrist: གོ་​ལོག་​གི་​མ་​ཤི་​ཀ་​མང་​པོ་​བྱུང་​ཡོད་​པས། even now many antichrists have come (1 Jn. 2:18 SV).
